Meet the Team
Craig Saunders
In 2003 I started my career in ladies and men’s hairdressing. Growing up in London my first job was at a salon in Mayfair, before moving to salons in Knightsbridge, Covent Garden and then Camden, finally settling down in Shoreditch for 8 years.

In 2017 I moved to Bury St Edmunds, and decided to focus solely on men’s hair. My barbering is heavily influenced by my time as a hairdresser.
I'm equally as happy to get the scissors out to create shape and texture with longer styles, as I am cutting a short back and sides.
Owen
Owen is a very talented barber with 3 years of cutting experience,
he's calm, friendly and an overall nice guy.
he loves a bit of Ed Sheeran and can often be heard singing along
to whatever is on the radio.

Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and
Available for walk-ins Wednesdays and Saturdays
Zac
Zac started his barbering journey in 2020 at west Suffolk college, and has been with Blackbird from the very beginning.
Zac is friendly, approachable and highly professional in his work.
He favours classic groomed haircuts, and is just as happy using scissors for longer looks as he is doing skin fades.
A true all rounder.
Zac is available for bookings on
Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays and is
Available for walk-ins on Wednesdays and Saturdays
Ben
Ben is an extremely talented barber with 4 years of experience under his belt.
He was lucky enough to have 6 brothers to practice on while training!
He’s a big sports fan and a Chelsea supporter (yes another one!)
Favourite musical artist: Post Malone
Ben is available for bookings Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
He will also be working the walk-in service on Saturdays
Brooke
Brooke has been with the team for over 3 years
NVQ level 2 and level 3 qualified
Brooke loves a creative cut and is comfortable with all lengths of hair from long to short
Brooke is the rainbow of the shop,
you genuinely never know what colour her hair is going to be from week to week.
She is also a keen plant lover, and has done a slightly too good job of looking after the shop plants.
Brooke is available
Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
