Craig Saunders

In 2003 I started my career in ladies and men’s hairdressing. Growing up in London my first job was at a salon in Mayfair, before moving to salons in Knightsbridge, Covent Garden and then Camden, finally settling down in Shoreditch for 8 years.

In 2017 I moved to Bury St Edmunds, and decided to focus solely on men’s hair. My barbering is heavily influenced by my time as a hairdresser.
I'm equally as happy to get the scissors out to create shape and texture with longer styles, as I am cutting a short back and sides.

Scarlet Saunders

Scarlet comes from a hairdressing family and grew up living above her mothers salon.

Previously a qualified make up artist,

she took a career break to bring up a family,

she is now taking part in the new family business, Blackbird Barbershop.

Scarlet has her NVQ level 2 qualification in barbering

Zac

Zac started his barbering journey in 2020 at west Suffolk college, and has been with Blackbird from the very beginning.

Zac is friendly, approachable and highly professional in his work.

He favours classic groomed haircuts, and is just as happy using scissors for longer looks as he is doing skin fades.

A true all rounder.

Ben Moss

Ben is an extremely talented barber with 5 years of experience under his belt.

Burst Fades, Tapers.....he's got you!

He was lucky enough to have 6 brothers to practice on while training!

He’s a big sports fan and a Chelsea supporter

Hobbies include playing football and watching F1

Jake

Jake is a grafter

His approach to cutting hair is no nonsense, lets do this!

Not only will you get a hair cut from a passionate barber, you'll have a bloody good chat too

his favourite haircut = the mod

Jake loves cooking, Muay Thai and T-shirts that may, or may not be slightly too short.

Ben Cook

Ben is the youngest member of our team, but also the most chilled

he takes everything in his stride

hobbies include, watching anime and gaming

He has completed his NVQ level 2 in Barbering,

and is now furthering his education with the NVQ level 3

His favourite hair cuts are low tapers and burst fades
